As well as being ideally situated for getting around the theme parks, Windsor Palms also has a number of golf courses nearby including the Mystic Dunes 18 hole championship golf course just a mile away.
Windsor Palms is also just a couple of minutes from the local shops and restaurants at Formosa Gardens Plaza. Here, you can find The Outback Steakhouse, Carabbas Italian Grill, Giordano's Restaurant, TGI Fridays and other restaurants, as well a good sized 24 hour supermarket, a bank and a chemist.
For visitors flying into Orlando International Airport, the Windsor Palms resort is about a 35 minute drive. Slightly longer from Sanford airport.
Walt Disney World is less than 4 miles away. Other attractions in Orlando, such as Seaworld and Universal Studios are easily found a few miles north on I4. Busch Gardens and Gulf coast resorts are easily accessible south on I4.
Superb facilities for all the family at the resort. The kids loved the cinema and games room and although I had plans to hit the gym, I kept getting distracted by the pool. Maybe next time.
Loved the extra facilities at the WP clubhouse. What a great way to relax and take it easy after a couple of long days at the parks. Between the cinema, pool table and tennis courts, it was a cheap way to keep the kids happy after the expense of the parks.
